Personality & Traits

Ambitions In the later years of his career, he hopes to return to Earth and teach at Starfleet Academy like his father did.

Personal History Born in 2367 aboard the USS Mercy, Christopher was the first child to James and Mary Hallet. His father was stationed aboard the USS Mercy as one of the ships engineers. His mother was the ships botanist.

Christopher’s first two years of childhood were spent aboard the USS Mercy. Then his father was promoted and re-assigned to the USS Onyx to server as the ships Chief Engineer.

Eventually the family grew as his younger brother Matthew was born aboard the Onyx. His mother took this opportunity to resign from Starfleet and be a stay at home mother. His parents decided that it would be best for them to move to Earth. His father put in a transfer and a few months later he was given the transfer to Earth to be a instructor at Starfleet Academy.

Their move to Earth was a welcome and a stable change for everyone. His mother was probably the one that was most overjoyed as their new house had enough of a yard for her to be able to garden.

They lived a normal life for a while until 2373 when the Dominion War broke out. His father was reassigned from Starfleet Academy to the USS Montrose to serve as the Executive Officer. His parents decided that it would be best for them to remain on Earth. Hopefully away from any harm as his father left to fight in the war.

The change was hard for everyone but their spirits would be brightened up every evening when his father would contact them. It was usually short but it was what everyone at home needed. Then suddenly the transmissions stopped. A week or two went by with no contact. His mother attempted to get someone in Starfleet to tell her what was going on but the only thing that they would say is that they were in a communication black out. His mother began fearing the worse and sadly enough her fears became a reality when they received a transmission that the USS Montrose had been lost with no survivors.

The news was heart breaking. His mother took it very hard. She sunk into a depression. Christopher was sad but he had to be strong for his mother, and his brother. Christopher grew up quickly during his time. His mother was sad for a very long time and Christopher got his family thought it.

When Christopher enlisted in Starfleet his mother was very upset with him. She reflected back on how she lost his father because of Starfleet and didn’t want anything to happen to Christopher but she also knew that her son had made up his mind. After a while she became very supportive on his decision.

For the first few months at the Academy, Christopher was very much into his studies then he met Jayne. She would become one of his best friends, and a lover for a short period of time but she did flip his world upside down as well. She showed him how to let loose and relax.

Christopher began pushing his studies aside and become somewhat of a wild child. He grew up with a lot of responsibilities. He didn’t get to enjoy things that a lot of other teenagers did and now it was his turn. There was a point in time when he didn’t know if he would even graduate from Starfleet Academy. There were several times when he almost got kicked out. Christopher got his Starfleet Academy career back on track and graduated.

His first posting was on the USS Gracious as the warp core specialist. He found the work rewarding, and truly threw himself into the role. The Chief Engineer, Robert Grant, took the young Ensign under his wing and nurtured his natural talents for engineering. Christopher came to regard Robert as the father figure he had been missing since his father died.

After two years he was promoted and assumed the role of Assistant Chief Engineering Officer onboard the Gracious. It was the proudest moment of his life up to that point. But he knew that if he wanted to climb the career ladder, he would eventually need to move from the Gracious and gain experience elsewhere. After a further three years onboard Gracious, he was offered a spot on Deep Space Three as the Chief Engineering Officer. Though he was sad to be leaving the Gracious and Robert, he was excited for this new chapter in his life.
