A Little Bloodwine

Posted on Wednesday June 8th, 2022 @ 9:13pm by Lieutenant Commander Niali Deval Dr & Lieutenant Finchley Kerr

Mission: EPISODE 1: SHAKEDOWN
Location: Holodeck 1 USS Oberon

Niali looked in the mirror trying to adjust the leather skirt. With her long legs she just never seemed to get it to hang right. The corset was no problem. As most Klingon women were well endowed she suited that part and it fitted her well. As an honorary member of the House Of Kotar she was entitled to wear the cloak with the house crest on the back. In her leather boots she placed her D'k tahg in its scabbard and her B’atleth across her back. Continuing with tradition she wore her hair long. Finishing the look with her devil red lipstick she began to look the part of a warrior. She was looking forward to the evening of memories with Karadis and Finchley and to trying the batch of bloodwine Karadis had brought on board with her. They had left it up to Karadis to arrange the holodeck so Niali was a little worried as to what to expect. Karadis could be very literal in her interpretation of things and Niali did not want to spend the whole evening standing up.

Brutus was already asleep on his tree after a dinner of replicated venison which he seemed to like. She kissed him and scratched him under the chin and he mumbled and purred. “See you later, how do I look?” She asked him. He looked up at her and licked his posterior. “That good eh!” She exclaimed. A few minutes later she left for the holodeck surprising a few crew members along the way. A couple of them jumped when they saw her but as soon as they recognized her they smiled.

In his quarters, Finchley was putting the last of his Klingon uniform. It had been while since he'd last worn it, and it felt a little snug, but not to uncomfortable. Taking the 2 Mevak knives, he placed them in his belt and looked at himself in the mirror "Well, not to shabby I suppose."

He looked at the badge on his uniform, the House of Karadis. It was strange for him, he'd been taken into the House by Shr'Nesh father, K'mar, as a point of honour for saving his daughter's life during the battle of Lidus Prime. Finchley, then a snot nosed Junior Intelligence Officer, had been trained by Shr'Nesh in hand to hand combat, and she had been Team Leader in the fight for Lidus City, a bloody and difficult fight that the Jem'Hadar had made his unit fight every inch for. Towards the end of the battle, Shr'Nesh had become embroiled in a fight with 3 of their soldiers, and her knife had got jammed in the neck of one of them and wouldn't come out. The other 2 Jem'Hadar had attacked and taken her down, 1 standing over her with a knife about to plunge it into her heart. Finchley, being all of about 12 stone soaking wet, had ran at them screaming and just jumped in, arms like windmills hitting anything that moved. The Jem'Hadar were more stunned at his idiocy than they were frightened of him, but Finchley managed to knock over the soldier holding the knife, and this allowed Shr'Nesh to get to here feet, grab a fallen knife and and finish the 2 Jem'Hadar off. Not stopping to thank him, but instead clouting his lug for being so stupid as to do what he did in the first place, she'd moved on.

Weeks later, when he was finally allowed some shipboard rest leave from duty, he'd got a message from Karadis to meet her in her quarters. When he'd arrived, Karadis introduced her Father K'mar to him. Finchley wasn't quite sure how to react except to say to K'mar it was an honour to meet him. K'mar had then stared at him for a long time, making Finchley feel rather uncomfortable, then said "My daughter tells me you saved her life on Lindus Prime."

Finchley didn't speak much except to say "I, eh, was just helping her a little...her knife was stuck."

K'mar had laughed long and loud, then slapped Finchley on the arm "A foolish thing to do, rushing in like that, arms waving...but it seems you have a Klingon's heart, you were fearless, and my daughter is still alive because you did. I am grateful, and as a reward, you are now a member of the House of Karadis!"

Finchley had looked at Shr'Nesh, not really knowing what to say next. She'd smiled, actually smiled, and nodded for Finchley to look back at her Father, which he did, then he finally replied "Thank you Sir, that is indeed a great honour for me."

K'mar handed Finchley the House of Karadis badge and said "Wear this with pride, should you ever need anything, you just ask."

With that, he laughed loudly again, slapped Finchley on the chest, walked past him still laughing and saying "Arms like windmills..."

After he'd gone, Finchley had just looked at Shr'Nesh "This means?"

"You're part of our House now Finchley, you're a Karadis, our soldiers will fight and die for you, you serve my Father if he needs you....oh, and you die for him if he asks you to as well!"

Coming back out of his revere, Finchley moved towards the door, picked up his Bat'leth, strapped it to his back and made for the holodeck. As he got there, he saw Niali coming along the corridor from the opposite direction. His tongue was almost hanging out at how good she looked.

Niali saw Finchley and growled “chonoQ” she shouted. “You wear that well! She exclaimed then whistled. She stood and did a spin round, “what do you think, would I make a good looking warrior?”

"chonoQ" Finchley replied "and thank you. You look amazing as a warrior" he added.

She laughed, “maybe I will get to challenge you this evening?” She pulled at her corset, “I’ll have to ask Karadis to tell me the secret of wearing these, it pinches my breast, so wonder what she has in store for us, shall we enter?” She put her arm through his.

"Absolutely" Finchley replied, pressing the keypad for them to enter. The doors opened, and as they walked through, a scene of gothic nature met them, a darkly lit room, torches hanging on the walls, the smell of age in the air. Finchley took this all in, it was an amazing recreation, from the very House of Karadis.

Shr'Nesh came towards them, resplendent in her outfit. The leather corset gripped her large breasts, squeezing them together and forming a cleavage Finchley though he could ski down, her leather knee length skirt swished hypnotically as she walked, her boots clicking on the floor. Her hair was pulled back so tight he thought it would come out.

Stopping in front of Niali, she grabbed her round the back of her head, butted her hard and said "chonoQ!"

Niali stood her ground and gave as good as she got. “ChonoQ” she declared. She walked in whistling “so this is the House of Karadis, wonderful.” She slapped her on the back. “Lead me to the bloodwine” she said loudly and with passion.

Karadis laughed long and hard "This is indeed, the House of Karadis!" she said "and you'd better be up for a wild night of story telling and drinking Niali, you asked for this and I intend to show tell you everything in story and song!"

Finchley followed behind a little, this was going to be some night, he could already tell. He watched as Karadis took three Klingon drinking cups, filled them and handed one each to Niali and himself.

Suddenly, Karadis saw the badge Niali was wearing "YOU ARE OF THE HOUSE OF KOTAR???" she shouted.

“Yes” said Niali.

"You did not say before, you must tell the first great story, what heroic deeds did you do?" Karadis said, taking hold of Niali by the forearms "spare nothing, I must know what warrior heart beats in your breast!"

Niali gulped down her drink and looked worriedly at Finchley, “Commander this is redacted history from my very first mission?”

"Alright Karadis, that's a no then" Finchley said, then reassuring Niali with a nod that she didn't have to say anything.

"Pity" Karadis said, a little saddened "It must have be glorious though, the House of Kotar is a great House indeed, many songs have been sung of their battles and their warriors who gave their lives for the Empire!"

"The I will tell a story, but you both must take part, it's one of courage, risk and danger!" Karadis said, raising her bloodwine cup high in a toast and drinking it down in one.

Niali nodded her thanks to Finchley, it was indeed however a great story of blood and thunder that she longed to tell. “Niali lifted her cup, “so long as it is a story of blood” she said and downed it in one thumping it down on the table. She looked at Karadis and thought she was magnificent.

Karadis walked over to Niali, grabbed her and yanked her head back so she was looking directly up at her. She bent her head forward and kissed Niali deeply on her ruby red lips, her tongue forcing it's way into Niali's mouth. Pinning her hands behind her back, she bent her head forwards and began kissing the top of Nilai's breast.

Stopping, she let Niali go and said "It is, but first we need more drink" and she took both their cups and refilled them.

"It was a glorious battle, the House of Karadis, K'tar at it's head and the Dominion forces on Palis Major" Karadis began "We were outnumbered, 6 to 1, our stronghold was in ruins, our brothers and sister warriors lay dead around us, but K'tar stood proud. We knew the land we stood on was all that was left of the Allied forces. However..." and Karadis, hunched down, her voice low "K'tar also knew we could strike at the very heart of their own base...a lightening force was assembled."

She looked at Niali and Finchley, "We were 150, they were about 1000, but K'tar gave the order to open the gate....AND WE CHARGED!!!" she shouted, grabbing here Bat'leth and swung it around her head and brought it down towards Niali.

Niall had begun to breathe heavily as Karadis told her story so when the Bat’leth began its swing she was ready for it. She rolled off the barrel and withdrew her weapon before she hit the floor. Kneeling she brought it up to deflect Karadis blow. Niall stood maintaining pressure on Karadis and twisted the sound of blade upon blade rang out through the hall.

"YYYYYYYYAAAAHHHHHH!!!!" Karadis called out, forcing the blade away from Niali. Turning to Finchley she said "The Jem'Hadar rushed us, but their front rows were too late, we were upon them before they could draw their weapons. We slashed, we thrust, we parried, we stabbed..." she continued the story, thrusting her blade at Finchley. He brought his own Bat'leth down and deflected the blow, but only just.

Karadis turned back to Niali "We took down the first 4 rows before they knew what had hit them, and we fanned out. My Father fought like a wild animal, decapitating 1, taking the arm off another, I ran to him and we stood back to back, cutting and slashing!" and once more she jumped at Niali, feinting one way, turning the other and coming at Niali's head with her blade glinting in the torch light.

Niali screamed and rolled, turning and catching Karadis on her heel with the underside of her blade, a lucky blow. Karadis went down.

"YES, that's what happened Niali, I got hit on the leg and went down" Karadis said, rolling and jumping back to her feet. She took out her Movak, pulled her arm back and threw it at Finchley. He saw her draw her arm back, and the knife glinted in the torch light, then came towards him. Instinctively, he raised his Bat'leth and the knife glanced off it and thudded into the wooden seat next to him.

Turning back to Niali, she said "I got back on my feet just a Jem'Hadar soldier ran towards me, but I was quicker, I ran at him, slid, and took his feet out from under him" and at that, she ran at Niali, slid and kicked her feet out from under her."

Niali fell dropping her Bat'leth for split second she wondered if blood was going to be spilt and then she didn’t care. She drew her Dk’tahg and slashed at Karadis her eyes glazed.

The Dk'tahg caught Karadis across the cheek, causing a 2 inch cut. Karadis, stopped, put her hand up to her cheek, touched the blood with her finger and put the finger in her mouth, tasting the copper tainted liquid "You realise you've initiated a mating call Niali Korial of the House of Kotar, is it your intention to have me?" she asked in a low growl.

Niali was lost in the moment and the bloodwine filled her senses. “YES” She growled back dropping her knife staring at Karadis.

"No, no" Kardis replied, "dropping the Dk'tahg isn't an option now, you want to play, then let's play!" she added, rushing Niali. She shoulder charged Niali to the ground, jumped on her, turned her over and banged her head off the concrete floor. Grabbing her long hair, she pulled it back to see blood on Niali's forehead. She licked some of it off, then took her arm, twisted it behind her back, took her loose hanging belt, looped it around wrist, twisted, grabbed her boot, pulled it up, looped the belt around her ankle and pulled hard, incapacitating one side of Niali.

Niali kicked back out hard, the spike on her boot caught Karadis a blow across her arm which began bleeding. “NNARRRGGHH’ she roared.

Karadis grabbed her arm, and looking at Niali said "I do hope you're proposing to me Korial, otherwise we may just be fighting to the death!"

Niali realized she had gone further than she had intended, she had been carried away by the bloodwine, Karadis story and the lust she felt for both her and Finchley.. “Karadis I do not want to propose to you, not yet anyway, I do want you, yes, very much but my life is too involved and, I don't want to fight you to the death, but, if that is what you wish I will do it. I honour you Shr’Nesh Karadis. “ all this Niali said in Klingon.

"Carry on with the story Karadis!" Finchley said loudly "Korial is with me tonight, so if you kill her, then you'll have to kill me to because I swear" he said, taking hi Movak and drawing it across his palm, shedding blood, walking over and punching Karadis in the face, tainting it with his blood "I'll make a damn good try of killing you!"

Karadis wiped Finchley's blood from her face, and wickedly grinned at Finchley, saying "Very well Kerr, you've saved her life, only because you are of my House, and our rules forbid me to kill one of our own without me dishonouring myself."

She untied Niali's boot from her wrist and stood up "I was back on my feet in a split second, the Jem'Hadar were now beginning to back off, unsure as to how to cope with 150 blood thirsty Klingons who's only wish was to die a glorious hero's death. With them in disarray, we charged, Bat'leth's swinging, slashing and cutting. They broke ranks and ran, so we chased them, caught those we could and killed them on the spot, no mercy!"

Niali lay breathing hard, embarrassment that Finchley had had to rescue her due to her stupidity, she should have known! She got up and poured herself another bloodwine and drank it down. She banged it down on the table and refilled it. She stood and roared wanting desperately to kill something, to rip it apart and swim in its entrails.

"Computer" Finchley said "Six Jem'Hadar soldiers with Kar'takin waepons, now!"

The computer chirruped, and the Jem'Hadar soldiers appeared, holding their Kar'takin blades at the ready. They rushed Niali, Finchley and Karadis.

Niali screamed a Klingon battle cry and leapt at the nearest soldier, slashing with her blade, he dodged and set his blade into her arm. She cried in pain and rolled down slashing at his tendons ripping his legs open. She saw Karadis had already disposed of one soldier, elongating her blade she caught him at the base of his spine. Ripping up with all her might he fell, his spinal cord transected. No mercy, no quarter was given as her bat’leth opened his skull. She saw red, was it her or Korial? He had killed like this but slowly. Her blade was red with blood and it dripped down her arms and down her breasts. She turned and engaged another Warrior. This one was cleverer than the last, he danced low with his blade. The sound of battle, blade upon blade was intoxicating.

One of the Jem'Hadar soldiers raised it's blade above their head and attempted to bring it down on Finchley's. He raised his Bat'leth in time to block the blow and shoved the attackers blade to one side whilst at the same time bring his own blade up under the soldiers midriff. It caught them in the gut and ripped their stomach open, spilling guts out which 'splashed' as they hit the floor. The Jem'Hadar gave Finchley a stupendous look as they slid slowly to the floor. Finchley took no prisoners and wielded his Bat'leth above his head, spun the blade and brought it crashing down, decapitating the soldier. A fountain of blood shot up into the air, covering Finchley but he didn't notice it, his blood lust now kicked in. He looked round for the next soldier, and found they'd already begun to stab at him with their blade. Finchley put his hand out to deflect the blow and blade tip went through his palm.

"AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" he yelled in pain, but then kicked the soldier between the legs, dropped his Bat'leth and smashed his fist into the soldiers face. He heard the sound of breaking bones and the grind of gristle but he just kept punching and punshing the soldier till they were on their knees. He took hi Movak, placed it across the soldiers throat and pulled it across sharply. The soldier gurgled as he went down holding his throat but he was dead before he hit the floor.

They continued to dance, this time she held her D’k tahg in her hand, the blades glinted as it clicked and two other blades appeared. She watched the Jem’Hadar’s eyes. The floor sloppy with guts and blood was slippery and the blades glinted in the redness of it. Niali slipped and fell into him trying to plunge the blade into his heart but at the last minute he sidestepped and she went down. He kicked her and began his downward thrust as she raised her blade and removed his hand. He screamed blood pumping from the open artery.

The last remaining Jem'Hadar stood between Karadis and Finchley, he turned between them. Finchley took the chance and thrust forward, with his Bat'leth, but the soldier parried it, turned and brought his blade down on Finchley's head, cutting in deep. Finchley sank to the floor, feeling disorientated.

Karadis, having dealt with her 2 Jem'Hadar stood over the last one and buried her Bat'leth in their skull, killing them outright. She helped Finchley to his feet and said "Being brave is one thing Kerr, making sure you survive is another!"

Niali limped over to Finchley worried for her lovers life. “Computer Surgical med kit, bio sensor, mental trauma kit” it appeared immediately beside her. She opened the sensor and began her scan. “Finchley, speak to me, do you know who you are, who I am?” She looked at his wound and began to use the autosuture to close the deep laceration.

"Yes mother, I know who you are" Finchley mumbled sarcastically and tiredly, "and yes, I know I'm Finchley" he smiled and lay his head on the ground.

She smiled at the sarcastic remark and began a deep neural scan which showed a small amount of fluid in his arachnoid mater. “I want to get you into bed as soon as possible.” She said. “You need round the clock observation for 72 hours, which I can do or sickbay is your next alternative.” She looked at Karadis. “Have you any wounds?” She asked.

"Aside from your 'love' graze on my cheek, and we're not done with that situation yet Niali" Karadis said as she grinned wickedly "Just a few bruises, nothing serious, I can take care of them myself...or you can take care of them for me?"

“We need to take him back to his quarters so if you help I can take care of you when he is settled? Finchley can you walk if not I can have you transported?”

"I can walk" Finchley said, offering to be helped up off the floor. Once he was on his feet he said "Right, let's go" he said.

Niali stood grunting in pain as Karadis stood under one shoulder and she took the other. She ended the program as they exited and stumbled slowly along the corridors, most of the crew that noticed them gave them a wide berth as all three were covered in blood. Eventually they ended up in Finchley’s quarters. Niali had him sit in a chair and Karadis in another and gently began to undress Finchley.

"Careful with that Axe Eugene" Finchley mumbled as he was sat down and was being undressed by Niali. He glanced at Karadis and said "You don't need to stay Karadis, I'm sure we can cope from here."

As Karadis went, he glanced up to see Niali leaning over him, her open fronted Klingon uniform leaving nothing to his imagination.

"That's a sight for sore eyes" he laughed weakly.

She smiled and gently smoothed his hair away from his face as she gently washed it. “I was going to see too Karadis bruises” she said. Okay, now if you stand I can undress you. Thank goodness you were wearing leather. Are you in much pain?” She asked.

"A little, not to much" he replied "What about you, you had a fair battle with those Jem'Hadar as well, how are you doing?"

“Now that my adrenaline is wearing off I might have to finish off that excellent bloodwine. I have a lot of bruises and I think a torn shoulder, couple of cuts. I’ll see to them once you are comfortable.” She finished undressing him and sat him on the bed. “Now let’s have a look at that hand.” She couldn’t help but lean forward and kiss him gently on the cheek. “My poor little warrior” she said in Klingon.

He didn't understand what she said, it was in Klingon, but it didn't matter, she was helping him and that's what did. Suddenly he realised what the time was and became flustered "I need to get to the bridge for my duty shift!"

“Shit Finchley, you can’t go like this, especially with a head injury. Let me speak to the doctor, I am sure he will agree you are not fit?”

"But you're the Doctor?" Finchley replied.

“I’m a counselor Finch, I cannot remove you from your shift unless you have a mental problem NOT caused by a head injury, now get into bed or I will tie you in it. You are obviously not fit for duty.”

"No, I need to go" Finchley said, attempting to rise up out of his bed, then felt a little so sat down again "Perhaps not, Lt Maybach can cover my shift and I'll double for him when I'm back on duty."

Tapping his COMM badge he said "Commander Kerr to Lieutenant Maybach, can you cover my duty shift please and I'll double one for you in return?"

The reply came "Of course Sir, no problem, Maybach out."

Finchley turned back to Niali "Problem sorted, the Doctor doesn't need to be called, I just need to rest up."

“Okay, I bow to your superior knowledge Doctor Kerr.” She made a deep bow before him. “Now, get you ass into bed or I will tie you into it. Excuse me if I get out of these clothes, fighting they are necessary, nursing, not so much. She stood and unlaced the thick leather skirt which fell away. She breathed a sigh of relief. Then she unlaced the tight corset top releasing her more than adequate breasts. “Can I borrow a shirt?” She asked and went to his closet picked out one and put it on. She took off the leather trousers and was left in her silk knickers. Thankfully the shirt covered her. “Now do you want anything non alcoholic to drink?”

"Promises, promises" Finchley laughed to Niali at her threat to tie him to the bed if he didn't get in it. "I'd love a cup of coffee, just milk please" Finchley replied.

She nodded and prepared him a milky coffee and took it over. Handing it to him she sat next to him on the bed continuing to clean up his cuts. “We could have been killed in there Finch, if it had not been for Karadis we would have been.” She sighed raggedy. “Korial has…..has enjoyed the killing and has now embedded himself in the forefront of my mind. I am scared Finch part of him is a depraved killer and I am worried my mind is not strong enough to control him..” she paused, “I am sorry to tell you that at this moment.”

"Hey, don't be sorry" Finchley replied "you can use your Counselling skills to deal with this. Think of it as you dealing with a new case, because basically you're dealing with a past life, it's a separate entity within your own personality. There's nothing that you don't know Korial, so you can use the counselling process to deal with what you're feeling. It's like a version of the old saying 'Physician, heal thyself', the difference being you have me to help you deal with it. Anything I can do to help you, I will."

Niali smiled and dried his face. “I need you to rest and to help you do that I..” she stood up and took the shirt off and climbed into the bed snuggling her body with his. ‘I am going to cuddle the head injury out of you and then, well I am sure we can think of something.

"Cuddle away" Finchley replied, putting his arm around Niali and holding her close.
