Personality & Traits
General Overview | T'val's Vulcan demeanor is almost entirely an act she maintains for her own amusement after being tortured by the Cardassians and suffering a psychiatric breakdown. T'val is generally somber, otherwise. She keeps mostly to herself, unless pried open by a familiar and safe presence. |
|
Strengths & Weaknesses | T'val capacity to do her job is generally speaking not questioned by anyone, however her ability outside of work is generally frowned upon by other Vulcans. Her ability to function requires unusually non-Vulcan practices outside of work, and she is borderline codependent on someone she formed a bond with at Starfleet medical |
|
Hobbies & Interests | T'val enjoys a variety of music, from tellarite death metal through Earth and Andorian folk music. She, herself, is fond of playing Earth's piano. Her other hobbies involve mostly work related habits, including freshening up on new technologies. |
Personal History | T'val left Vulcan at an abnormally young age, much to her family's disappointment. She had no use for them, and they do not particularly consider her a member of her family, either. Focusing her studies well outside the family specialty, T'val spent most of her early years at various technological institutes, and was widely recognized as a communications network savant whose developments assisted increasing data transfer to starships further and further away for nearly 60 years. It wasn't until she was in her late mid 80's, when she decided to tackle Starfleet academy, after rumors of increasing tensions with the Cardassians began whispering throughout the worlds. Her career was cut unfortunately short during her first tour of duty as many members of her crew were captured by the Cardassians, and after being rescued, T'val spent nearly 15 years in psychiatric care of Starfleet medical. She was considered almost entirely institutionalised until she found a comfortable friendship with a particularly strange individual named Lyra Bogdonavich |
