| Personal History | Born to unknown parents in the capital of the Klingon Empire, Arizhel was raised in a state funded orphanage.. From a young age, Arizhel was vastly interested in the clothing shops in the merchant markets. Her childhood was spent with the other children in the home, playing. She took an interest in clothing on the streets of the Imperial City and would spend days researching them and drawing them in her notebooks. Ari taught herself to sew by taking apart her clothes and repairing them. As a pre-teen Ari found work with a local tailor. She cleaned his shop, hemmed trouser, and sewed closures. It was rewarding work, and Ari was happy to take home fabric scraps that she would eventually use to make clothes for herself. As soon as Arizhel came of age, she was entered into the Imperial Defence Force for mandatory service. The young Klingon was placed in the stores at Defence Force Headquarters, where she spent 10 years issuing uniforms to new recruits and tailoring for Officer's, a job she was suited for. While serving in the Defence Force, Arizhel met officer's who served all over the empire and who had travelled to the far reaches of the Quadrant. Something, Ari had only ever dreamed of. It was something of a motivation that drove her to think about her life after her contract with the Defence Force. With her mandatory service behind her and a decent sum saved, Arizhel took a transport to Betazed to study design and fashion there. After 2 years, she began developing her clothing line, inspired by a mixture of different cultures she'd encountered and made plans to open an atelier and boutique shop on Federation Station Deep Space 3. |
