| Personal History | Born in France’s Loire valley to famed couturier Philippe Sauvageon, and his wife Anya (née Vasiliev), a retired Prima Ballerina Assoluta and muse to Philippe. Astor is the younger of two children, and he and Celesté are extremely close. Growing up as the live-in caretakers of a magnificent old chateau, Astor and Celesté often felt like they lived in a museum. Their parents would throw lavish social gatherings and often forget that the siblings were actually in bed. Summers were spent aboard the family’s space yacht, which Astor quickly fell in love with. The propulsion systems were antiquated and needed constant care. The young boy learned how to make repairs on the fly, astounding his parents who showed no aptitude or interest in such things. Celesté attended the Sorbonne after primary school and then accepted a prestigious position at Memory Alpha. This was the first time the siblings were parted and the distance was felt greatly by Astor. The summer after Astor graduated primary school, he stole the family yacht and broke several laws, including (but not limited to) exceeding station-keeping speed at Earth Spacedock, traveling at warp speeds without a recorded flight plan, and approaching a Starfleet Installation (Memory Alpha) without authorization. This incident created a major rift between Astor and his parents, who chose not to help their son during his trial. Instead, he accepted a plea deal (brokered by his sister) and joined Starfleet. |
