Talerian Anubis Maxx was sleeping in the shuttle as he was on his way to his next assignment. He had experienced a lot in the last twenty five years. As he grew up he was a school nerd, and decent athlete who loved to explore the vast world of science. Despite being smart he did face a few challenges growing up but met them head on. While at the Trill Academy, he earned Premier Distinctions in astrophysics, exoarchaeology, exobiology and zoology. That determination and clear mind earned him a spot in the Trill Symbiosis Commission program. He had to compete with a lot of candidates during that time and the pressure was intense. After passing the Trill Symbiosis Commission exams and bonding with the symbiont Maxx, Talerian was excited to join Star Fleet again. Granted it was not Talerian, but Maxx who had the experience of Star Fleet in the past but with their shred wisdom and knowledge, Talerian felt very confident in passing the exams.

The Symbiont Maxx has a vast amount of knowledge and experience that was passed down on to Talerian. Maxx had had four other hosts in the past which included Van, Chiara, Cole and Thorn. Van Maxx was a male Ace Pilot in the Federation and ladies man. It was rumored he had a girlfriend on every planet in Federation space. He flew many missions both combat and civil and gained several commendations. Sadly he became a test pilot and was fatally wounded during a test flight gone wrong and his Symbiont was passed on to Chiara. Chiara Maxx was a famous female diplomat and translator for the Trill Government. Over time she gained a reputation for being gambler but, that was mainly used when gaining intel and connections. However her skills in diplomacy made her well known and feared. After she retired she had 4 kids and eight grand kids. She died of old age and her Symbiont was passed on to Cole. Cole Maxx was a gifted and competitive natural athlete with a passion for martial arts and competitive gymnastics. He was also very into nature and became a spiritualist. After he retired from competition he became a trainer and got married with 6 kids and ten grandkids. After he died of old age and his Symbiont was passed on to Thorn. Thorn Maxx was an engineer and physicist in the Federation and explored the universe for many long years. He created new types of shielding and containment systems during his time and had 2 kids and six grand kids. Sadly during a combat mission he was fatally wounded and his Symbiont was passed on to Talerian.

Talerian Maxx is the current host to Maxx. Talerian Maxx is a bit of a prankster, a school nerd, and athlete and loves to explore the vast world of science.
His prankster habbits formed after his joining. He has been reprimanded for his private science experiments that end up messy as well as the occasional pranks he pulled on bullies while in Star Fleet Academy. He is very charming, fun and has a thirst for science and sports. Each of their personalities affect Talerian to make him more than who he is. Though many find him smart and charming, there are those who find him difficult to work with since he has trouble delegating the delicate work to others.

Compared to many of the new applicants in Star Fleet Academy, Talerian had a huge lead in knowledge and experience and was seen as a jerk in the eyes others. This made it hard for Talerian to make any friends at the beginning so he tried to focus on his exams and training. After a while the issue of not socializing was becoming apparent and needed to be dealt with. So Talerian created a prank to make his food explode while he was sitting down at lunch. This shocked and surprised everyone else as Talerian took it surprisingly well and even kept his cool when laughed at. This became the talk of the town as everyone was trying to figure out who pranked Talerian and slowly but surely others approached him. Over time he made a few friends and ended up using his prank skills to mess with a few jerks in the academy which earned him a few marks on his record.

Due to his fun loving nature he managed to avoid many fights and most of the trouble that was intended for him. As for his dating life he avoided crossing the line since he preferred friendship over a fling or two despite the temptation. His group of friends were also of the mischievous nature and had a knack for getting into trouble as well. Talerian was very shocked that they were allowed to graduate considering the trouble they managed to get into. Since he had the wisdom of Maxx he knew better than to cross certain lines with other alien races since many of them had anger management issues like the Klingons. Of course while going out and visiting the bars with his fellow cadets he did end up in a few bar fights and escapes from the law enforcement. All in all, Valerian did enjoy his time at the Academy and managed to make many good memories since he knew that all good things will come to an end as his next journey begins. Sadly parting ways with his friends was hard and a few tears were shed, but they all made a promise to keep in touch. A few female friends that were very fond of Talerian insisted on keeping in touch with hopes of settling down one day. Talerian humored them since he knew they would give up on that idea after a decade or two when they find a more compatible guy.

After graduating from the Academy as an Ensign, Talerian was assigned to a science exploration ship, the USS Equinox, for a few years and made a name for himself there with some new discoveries. Life on a ship was very different in comparison to the Academy. There was a lot less people, less choices on the menu, less friends and a lot more time to work on his hobbies since many of the crew had a tendency to keep to themselves or delve into their research. Valerian used that time to expand his time in research and made a few discoveries. He made a few friends and earned a few commendations during his time on the Equinox. Eventually he was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and was reassigned to Deep Space 3.

So now he was sleeping on the very shuttle that was transporting him and a few other crew mates that were also being transferred to DS3 or to a different ship that would rendezvous there in the near future. Despite his restful appearance, Talerian was actually very eager to his next assignment as Chief Officer of Science. This was a big step for his career after being promoted to Lt. JG and in his mind just another stepping stone to his career. Of course he also looked forward to seeing new faces for a change. Back on the USS Equinox, things were getting a bit routine and boring for him and if not for his many hobbies and research he would have lost his mind by now. Suddenly he felt a bump on his shoulder and woke up to see a crewman nudging him.

"Sir you might want to wake up before we dock." the crewman told him.

Talerian rubbed his eyes and said "Huh?" then looked around and saw DS3 out the window. "Wow that was fast."

The crewman replied, "Well I am sure it was fast since you slept the whole time, Sir."

"Well it couldn't be helped since I worked a double shift before I left." Maxx said, sitting up.

The crewman stepped back and said, "Sounds rough."

"It's a small matter." the trill answered, moving to stand up.

The shuttle then docked in the space station and the crew collected their belongings before the hatch opened up. They walked out one by one so they didn't get stuck holding a lot of bags. Once Talerian was out of the shuttle, he moved to the side and put his gear down so he could stretch a bit since he felt still from his long sleep on the shuttle.
