Coming aboard.

Mission: The Forgotten Outpost
Location: CO's Office.
Timeline: tbd

::ON::

Delhashi glided off the transport, his gear over his shoulder. His team as always at his back. Well four of them for now. He turned to Kai who was doing the usual head count and making sure everyone had all their possessions and gear. Cassandra was already organizing her PaDD to pass onto the stations chief medical officer. He smiled. All was good and orderly.

"Blake, I want you to go with Mathews and get that foot looked at." Del said simply. "Take the Cadet with you for a work up." Rhys wasn't really a cadet anymore.. But he was so green he might as well have been. He had been with them only a a few months now. He was a tough lil squirt and Del liked him just fine its why he had made the cut to transfer over with them where others hadn't. "Ill be in the CO's office. The rest of you fall out and follow the instructions on your given data PaDDs. We will assemble for GQ at 1600 hours and I expect nothing short of death to prevent you all from being sorted out and settled in by then. Understood?"

There was a crisp chorus of "Aye Sir!" and the group scattered to go do what needed to be done. He made his way through the station. He was two days earlier then expected but figured there was no reason to dawdle when he could be getting to know the ropes of this new assignment.

He stopped outside the door to the Cornels office and straightened his uniform and checked his gig line and made extra sure that Cassi had taken all his weapons off from him on the shuttle. 'Ah, yes, good.' he thought with relief when he found nothing dangerous loitering in the folds of his uniform. He then reached out and hit the chime to announce himself.

"Come." Tobias said to answer the chime. Needless to say he was surprised to see a green uniform when the door slid open.

Del stepped in sat his gear down and then straightened up to give a crisp salute. "Major Delhashi Darkshadow reporting in as ordered." He said.

"You are a sight for sore eyes, Major." the Colonel replied, sharply returning the salute. "At ease, take a seat."

"Yeah I could say the same for the station." Del remarked as he took the offered seat after handing his orders over to the CO. "It will be nice to be stationary for a while. Don't get me wrong I like travel but I am getting old. Be nice to be able to put my boots up for a bit. I appreciate you letting me bring my team along. Well what's left of them. They won't cause you a smidge of trouble I promise you. They are well behaved. Even the Blake girl I don't care what they have in those medical and psychological reports, I'll vouch for her. She's a good kid not crazy at all. Just a little off."

Del sounded more like a father then a Major. Then again that wasn't a bad thing really. They were all adjusting to the heavy losses of the last detachment they had been party too.

Del had been sent on a side mission and the powers that be had gone and gotten his men all killed. Well all but his little rag tag group he'd drug along with him. He couldn't leave them there.

So there coming hadn't been much of an option. He could indeed breath easier now that they were safe.

"So I am to understand you are expecting two hundred or so Marines to join the one hundred and forty-five you already have." He tilted his head as he asked. "No trouble out of any of them at all?? The current detachment?"

"They have been so quiet, it is almost like they are not here." Tobias said with a grin. "I think you will find them pretty much squared away, as a unit."

"That's good, very good, as it should be. Have they been pulling their weight helping out on the station?" Del asked the reply made him wonder what on earth they must be up to to be so well behaved then.

"I have not heard a peep out of them since I arrived. I know they have been running drills in the holodeck, but even then only because I read the reports. I think they must have been waiting for a Commanding Officer to officially be assigned."

Delhashi nodded. "Alright then. So what would you like for me to do around here? I don't mind running drills and such but when we are not being sent out on missions I would like to have the Marines be more integrated with the station. Involved even. Perhaps with your permission I would speak with Security about throwing a Marine in their security patrols and maybe if they don't mind let them linger in the more populated areas of the ship to help keep people safe. We are a team after all. your thoughts?" Del asked

"I think that would be a really good idea. You should definitely talk to Lieutenant Darkmoon, and if he gives you any static, tell him I sent you to talk to him."

"Sounds good to me. Was there anything you needed me to know before I get started? Any suggestions on how to appease Lieutenant Darkmoon even?" Del asked with a conspiratorial note as he got up. "Oh, wait, yes.. one more thing. I am expecting a friend of mine a Saus'Kai Tara'Naga Chue. I was asked to see if her neutered Tribble would be permitted aboard the station. Its sorta... well bonded to her its like her baby I guess, and well I told her I'd ask. I think she's still two days out, went to fetch my XO for me." Del said

"No, nothing more from me. As for Darkmoon, I am not really sure how to read him yet." The Colonel said, then added "As long as it is registered and neutered, I will allow it." Tobias answered as the Marine Commanding Officer turned to leave.
