Shuttles arrival

Mission: The Forgotten Outpost
Location: Shuttle Bay 1
Timeline: Current

C'Rell sat at the tactical station as he watched the large space station grow larger in the view screen. That first look at his new home, until the Federation saw fit for him to be placed somewhere else, was inspiring. The different ships and shuttles from the various species. He caught a glimpse of what he thought was a Caitian cruiser but the view was blocked by a large Galaxy class starship before he could get a good look. Saus'kai was in the back gathering her gear and he couldn't help but shake his head, his ears flapping with the movement. His gear, a large duffle big enough to fit a human inside, rested in the cargo area.

The shuttle slowly enters the Shuttle bay and nestled to the deck. As the engines shut down, C'Rell stood up the best he could. He had to bow his head a bit to stand up and walked to the back where the exit ramp was located. He palmed it open as he grabbed and shouldered his bag and grabbed one of Saus'kai's bags. "I'll get this one for you." He said as he stepped off the shuttle.

Kai wasn't going to argue. She thought his gesture to be a very kind act that solidified the idea that they where now going to be the best of friends. She smiled at him and said. "Well thank you." in her usual melodious tones. She shifted the rest of her gear around and checked on her Tribble Plort. He was in his side basket secured and chittering away. Kai shuushed him and stuck a hand in to pet his black and white fluff briefly. She had his registration and other data on a padd in the pocket of the carrier. She barely reached her new friends C'Rells chest. standing side by side she knew they were drawing attention.

Bishop was in the shuttlebay, merely by coincidence, when yet another shuttle touched down. He had to physically restrain himself from staring open mouthed at the GIANT being that exited the shuttle. Quick math in his head put the being at nearly eight feet tall. The Marine green uniform was a welcome site, but DIETIES, this guy was huge.

Kai looked out and seeing the Commanding officer standing a few feet away she studied him as he was looking at C'Rell. Brownish grey hair, Hazel blue eyes that seemed off to her in some way. He was taller then she, but just barely. What she didn't see was Delhashi or Yani roaming around. They must be earlier then they expected. That meant she could surprise them!! The idea made Kai want to bounce on her feet. She never got the opportunity to surprise them often. Oh was she going to have fun with it.

Bishop approached the new Marines. He wanted to meet them, and since so many new faces were coming aboard, he thought this might be his only chance.

C'Rell watched the Colonel look him up and down before he approached where Saus'kai and he stood. He dropped his bag to the deck with a muffled clatter but set her bag down gently. He came up straight, all seven and a half feet of him, and stood at attention. "Captain C'Rell, Marine Executive Officer, reporting for duty with Private First Class Chue." His voice held a purring growl to it as he spoke.

Kai had also set her bag down making Plort erupt into a drawling of angry sounding chirps. She also saluted. the hardest part was always trying not to smile.

Bishop returned the salute and said "As you were." he said formally. "Welcome to Deep Space Three. I am the Commanding Officer, Colonel Tobias Bishop the third. Your CO arrived earlier today. They told me to be watching for your arrival, but there seems to be a rather out of character earliness to the arrivals of new personnel these days."

"Better then the other way around though." Kai couldn't help but comment as she picked up her now squalling Tribble and reached in to comfort him. "Sorry Plort does not like to be in his carrier it makes him unhappy." She explained her voice thick with apology.

"Ah, yes, I was warned about you bringing a Tribble onboard. Just do not let Lieutenant Darkmoon see it. He has an irrational fear of those things." Tobias added with a chuckle.

"If your early, your on time. If your on time, your late. Besides I don't like much downtime as you can't earn honor relaxing. You must always be ready to grab your destiny with your claws if you are to earn your name." C'Rell stated but his eyes went to the carrier and the fireball inside. His mouth was salivating and images of eating the thing flashed through his mind. He stamped down his thoughts as looked back at the Colonel. "Is there anything not in the briefing report that I was given that I might need to be aware of Sir?" He asked, trying to focus his mind.

"Major DarkShadow is going to have you liaising with Security on patrols, and that was probably not in the briefing as we just decided it a few moments ago."

Saus'kai made a mental note about the patrols. She'd want to get in on those to learn the station. She didn't want to be on the last rotations. She stepped forward and offered the friendly commanding officer her hand. "Ill be sure not to let Plort out around him then. Thank you for the heads up about the Security chief. I really do not want my son to make anyone uncomfortable." She said kindly.

"Your....son?" he asked, deeply confused.

"Yes, I adopted him so by the customs beheld of my people he is my child now." Kai explained to his confused look.

"Well, Ok then." was all he could think to say.

"Unless you have any other questions for me, I am sure you want to get settled in your barracks."

C'Rell nodded and retrieved his large bag, shifting it to his shoulder. He'd get settled and get with the Major to discuss the co-op between the Marines and security. "No Sir, nothing further."

"Pleasure meeting you both but I need to get to Medical first thing to give them my supply of anti venom for the replicator systems." Kai said grabbing up the rest of her gear she nodded to them both. "See you all around then. and C'Rell give my regards to the Major would you please." She was off then in the direction of the lift.
