Mission: The Forgotten Outpost
Location: DS3
Timeline: Current

Olivia frowned as she stared at the viewscreen of Operations. For some reason, she was always tense when ambassadorial vessels approached the site of peace conferences. Her concern was hyper-sensitive as second in command of the site in question. She looked over the flight control panel.

"I've got positive identification." The Chief Warrant Officer at the flight control console noted. "Database match. Lairuit Cavaan design. Inelegant for warp, but it is a battleship. This ship is actually named the Cavaan. Weapons disabled under Federation diplomatic regulations."

"Page Lieutenant Trensu for me." Olivia said, to the Chief Warrant Officer. "I want him on that tactical console figuring out if those weapons are disabled, or if they're just turned off."

The Chief Warrant Officer nodded as Olivia moved to the science station. "Anything out of the ordinary?"

After he was paged Trensu almost ran to the station ops. As Trensu entered station Operations he saw everyone at their stations. A large Battleship was on the screen. He gave a nod to the XO and went straight to the Security and Tactical station.

The petty officer at the station stepped aside. Trensu started to tap on the Tactical Console. "Lairuit Cavaan Battleship and their Shield are up cant get a good scan of the ship" reported Trensu.

He looked at the flight control station "Anyone not docked Get them one million K away from here now!" Ordered Trensu. then his fingers rapidly taped the Tactical station Console. "I have to bring up shields the Battleship is 1 minute from weapons range." reports trensu his voice calm and clear.

"That's a diplomatic vessel." Olivia hissed. "You're here to determine if their weapons are disabled or just offline. They have clearance to be here."

Not looking up from the Tactical Console "I am just following Starfleet Protocols Ma'am. Diplomatic or not It is a foreign battleship approaching this station with shields up and unknown weapon status. Until they lower their shields I will not know the status. I got a reading now right now their weapons are offline from what I can tell" He said. "Can we hail them?" asked Trensu.

"Thank you." Olivia hissed. "In the future, please ask for permission prior to making hostile stances against diplomatic vessels." She gestured to one of the officers. "Open a channel."

"No response, ma'am. It looks like there's some kind of jamming signal present." The officer at flight control noted.

"Yellow alert." Olivia narrowed her eyes. "Lieutenant Trensu, I want you and the flight control officer ready for possible hostiles. Lieutenant Maxx, trace that signal." She paused and tapped her commbadge. "Commander Bishop to operations, please. We may have a situation brewing."

Hearing the summons, Bishop stepped out of his office just in time to see the lighting in Ops for all yellow and flashing. "SitRep?" he asked as he stepped up next to his Number One.

Alie was going over maintenance reports in her office when "Reaper" stuck his head in. "Alie got a minute?" he asked.

"Sure "Reaper" what's up?" Alie answered, looking at him.

"Well it's just that "Alligator" has a birthday tomorrow and....." he shut up instantly when the station went to yellow alert. "Holy shit now what?" he shouted, sprinting for his fighter with Alie right behind him.

All fighter pilots Squadron's 1 and 2 mount up, this is no drill, ready on flight launch for possible sortie" Alie shouted as she mounted her fighter. "Operations, Fighter Squadrons 1 and 2 ready for launch when ready." Alie said calmly.

Lieutenant Geno locked his station in his office and headed for the command deck when the yellow alert was announced. He growled in frustration. “Geno to watch, what is the situation?” He asked.

When the information was given, mainly facts about what they were seeing. He knew His teams would be debriefing this because something was not right, the station’s scanners should have picked up the warship up long before it was on approach.

As he approached a turbo lift, he said, “Computer, Priority lift to shaft E23, my location.”

The doors opened as Geno fastened his blaster belt to his hip. There were two officers of higher rank, but they were not command officers.

“Out,” He said with some authority as he boarded the lift. He had the feeling that he would pay for being rude as the two higher ranking officers stepped off the lift. Someone in operations blew the scan, someone else missed the flight plans, and then others escalating this into a political crisis. He knew he would be in the XO’s office later getting grilled. He was going to need be able to explain what had happened.

As he stepped out in to the operations command center he nodded to the XO and went and stood behind the operations officer on the watch. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder to keep her at the conn.

He leaned down and whispered to her, “Clear the civilian craft from this side of the station to keep them out of the way, hold docking and departure orders so the fighter launches will be smooth if needed, lock down transporters, and transfer the launch control to Lieutenant Trensu.” He reached over and tapped a few keys adjusting the stations reactors bringing more power to the ready.

The watch started rerouting and issuing orders. Geno smiled reached over and tapped a sequence of commands to cause the Romulan anthem in harmonic carrier waves over two of the lower shield generators. He knew their operations officer would see this on his scans and it would also cover some of the detail of what was going on tactically inside the station.

Trensu looked over the tactical and security screens. This was not a starship though the crew was moving fast the civilians were not. Trensu would have to work on that.

"Ma'am station is at yellow alert. as per your intentions, I did not power weapons if they do fire the shields can take it. Hopefully, they are diplomatic and we don't have to fire. I have the Photon loaded but not charged. So they will see us with no weapons active. we have Squadron's 1 and 2 on the ready pads to launch at your command." Trensu said to the XO.
