Things that go bump...

The young man dressed in operations mustard was checking on the Duterium storage, doing a routine inventory when he heard something fall near the back corner of the room.

As he slowly walked back down the isles between the huge stacks, he heard something fall again, and then a clacking and an almost insectoid chittering.

He rounded the corner and found a stack of Duterium had somehow begun to deteriorate and was beginning to crumble.

The chittering sounded again from above and behind him.

He slowly turned to face the sound, when what appeared to be a metal spider jumped off the wall and latched its long legs around his head.

His screams were muffled by the size of the thing.

Its legs crew tighter, and his vision grew dark.

As his body hit the ground, the last thing he thought was not his own thought.

"Resistance is Futile."
