Animous Transportation

Posted on Monday November 16th, 2020 @ 7:23pm by Arizhel

Mission: The Forgotten Outpost
Location: Transport Ship Gok'taH

Arizhel had grown impatient with many of the crew of the transport ship Gok'taH, but nothing compared to the animosity she shared with Captain K'taj, the ship's commanding officer. At every turn they butted heads. K'taj felt Arizhel was the worst kind of Klingon, one without a warriors blood. Arizhel thought K'taj was a pig who thought with the wrong head as many men did.

To make her time pass quicker, Arizhel took to sorting her belongings in the ship's cargo hold far away from the eyes of K'taj.

"Hmm, I really must make myself something with this velvet," Ari said aloud, holding the fabric roll in hand and petting it softly. She loved to feel fabric. It was as though through touch she communicated with the fabric and it told her what it was meant to be turned into.

'After the shop is set up, I can make whatever I want.' Though Arizhel, smiling warmly to herself. She knew that there would be so much to do once she arrived at the station.

A low chirp filled the room, followed close by the static crackle of the comm speakers. "We are approaching the Federation station Deep Space Three. Prepare to leave." Came the voice of the surly Captain K'taj, sounding a bit too happy to finally be able to speak those words.

Ari continued checking her cases to ensure everything was organized and secure for transport to the station.

Once done, she returned to her cabin to gather the few belongings that she had brought along that were not in the hold. She packed them into a case and returned to the storage area. A team of four crewmen were already hard at work transporting Arizhel's containers and other fixtures to Deep Space Three. Arizhel cringed at the carelessness with which the Klingon men handled what was essentially her entire life.

K'taj strode swiftly into the cargo hold with a wide smile on his face. A smile that quickly fell away when he saw that Ari had yet to depart. "You're still here." He stated sourly.

"I am." Arizhel said defiantly. "And if I come to find that any single piece of my cargo is damaged, even slightly, I will see that you are billed its replacement value."

The Captain rolled his eyes. "I'll be sure the men are very careful." He smiled a crooked toothy smile that was sinister.

Arizhel moved closer to the crewmen to supervise their actions closer. "Be sure that those two are transported to my assigned quarters not the shop."

The men looked to K'taj, who simply nodded in response.

As the last of her belongings were transported over to Deep Space Three, Ari exhaled releasing her tension. "I suppose I will be off then. " She smiled snuggly at K'taj, who was still standing over the room like a parasitic presence. "I wish I could say it was a pleasure, but that would be a blatant lie." She looked back to the crewmen to see their reaction and then left the cargo hold for the transporter room.
