:: ON ::

:: Marine Barracks::

Del had just finished . Then the lights dimmed and the running lights strobed red.

"Lieutenant Darkmoon and Major DarkShadow, your teams are needed on the double in the shuttle bay and transporter rooms. We have evacuees and possible intruders."

"Aye sir activating A-6. We are on our way." Del said already up and moving as he entered the code into the computer just as Kurag sent his summons to the Shuttle bay. He forwarded it to C'Rell whos team was on security in that section.

"I'll be with my team Colonel." C'Rell said as he turned smartly and headed to join the Marines in the shuttlebay.

Around the station the badges of the Marines bleeped out a code to arm up and report to battle stations. Those already out with security where already armed and in armor as was the custom regulations. They moved along with the security detail to be placed where needed to help best secure the station. Those in training filed out to the lockers like a moving ant hill they organized and set about the task of getting to their battle stations as quickly as possible. Those who caught a look at the Major could tell this was not a drill. He moved with a purpose. Kai falling in at his side she handed him his armor and he put it on as they moved. She gave him his bandoleer of daggers, and he slipped it on then his side arm, then his sword. He carried that in its sheath over his shoulder.

::Shuttle Bay::

The team arrived at the shuttle bay and fanned silently out to cover all entry and exit points as best they could with the men who had already arrived. Del looked around to see who all was already present.

Maddison Bluefern-Ek hissed a bit when she saw the marines arrive. "Regulations for boarding parties are projected energy side-arms. Not melee weapons." She noted, with an irritated look. "I'd be happier using my bolt gun, as well, but we're supposed to be kitting for less than lethal."

"Yes ma'am." Del said as he handed the weapon back to Kai to be removed as she drew his standard side arm instead.

Maddison offered a slight smile at that. "Look at that, Lieutenant. No arresting today." She looked to Krang. "I am sorry. I know you like filling out the paperwork."

'No, just don't have the vacation days saved up to entertain a trip to the brig.' Del thought to himself dryly. He wasn't about to get into a pissing contest with possible hostiles on the way. Let them have their fun.

C'Rell stepped into the shuttlebay at that time. His large frame, a full 6 inches taller than Krang's heigh, filled the doorway. His eyes take in the scene as he shifts the large energy blaster at his hip, there was also a white net that almost resembled a spiders web hanging from the other hip. His armor was larger than the others and actually looked like they came from multiple different sets just to fit his body structure. "Hope in not late for the party." He said with a grin as he flexed his free hand, the claws extending and retracting with each flex.

"Given the circumstances, I'm ok with it." Krang said, his mood turning dark. "We've got much bigger issues to focus on."

"Onward and surfaceward." Maddison agreed. "We have a mission."

Captain Dashon of the Tor'Kon continued to send the distress... his wife and XO Keli, daughter Alore and son Kasper.... all struggling to survive a horrific ordeal saw their ship literally vanishing neath their feet. The emergency cable connected them all together.... no gravity in their life pod section they were now floating.....

"Doctor Contessa McQueen can you still hear us?" Captain Dashon screamed into his communication inside his EVAC suit.....
"Yes Captain Dashon I hear you. Hold on ..." the CMO replied to them.....

Yani moved forward having caught onto the situation quickly and assesed the problem as best as she could with her limited information. "Suggest we prject a force feild bubble around the ships exterior to help stabilize it and buy them more time and preserve their oxygen and protect them from the vaccume of space. Then we need to get a tractor lock and yank them in here faster while some one trys to beam as many of them off that death trap as soon as possable."

Del raised his brow at her solution, "That will work?"

"It will help, it certainty can't hurt." Yani said her mind was already moving to the next task. Damage control was her specialty and she was already trying to find the best strategy to minimalize the damage in the worst case scenario. She was moving directing Marines to the more venerable areas such as exits and power relay junctures that's power fluxes might attract the nanites and draw heaver opponents.

Del reached into his pocket and withdrew a stick of gum. Popped it into his mouth and chewed as he waited for the silence before the storm to pass and action to ensue.

Maddison contemplated Yani's idea. "Lieutenant Bluefern-Ek to Ops. One of the Marine artificers has a suggestion for how to keep that ship in one piece long enough to get those people off safely." She shook her head, and gestured to Yani. "Don't just think out loud to the people in charge. We've got a job to do. So do they. It works better if we're working together."

C'Rell nodded and smiled. He turned to Cassi, "Lieutenant Matthews, get ready for the worst and if any of those things get near any injured, take it out." He turned to look at Rhys. "Private Antako, you take the left side, Private Chue, center with me, Lieutenant Blake man the right." He called to his team and set them up. He had placed Kai between him and Del and made sure he was a step closer than she was. "Ready Major, on your orders."

::Outside DS3 ::

Alie was already outside with her group patrolling the air space and she also kept an eye on the life pod. "Sniper, Reaper, pair off and give me a better look of the space surrounding the base and the pod. I don't want any surprises", she said.

"Understood boss", Sniper said and peeled off with Reaper and took off leaving her with Chopper, and her wingman.

Wondering how much longer it would be before they got the pod into the shuttle bay, Alie flew closer to the life pod for a look-see. Scanning the pod she nearly choked, barely enough oxygen and all of them were close becoming oxygen deprived. =/\= "Viper to shuttle bay, better get a move on. They're close to oxygen deprivation. Life signs very weak. Area out here is clear. No visible intruders or vessels. Viper out "=/\=

Contessa McQueen watched the vital signs.... noting strange readings she could not explain, on the outside of the Freighter family of the Tor'Kon.... she pulled up her medi kit and to the transporter chief she said, "Send this to the life pod, it will decon the life pod without harming the Dashon family. And, I have programmed it to also remove certain none biologic life forms to a certain degree. " She watched as the transporter chief programmed it in to send. Holding her breath she waited.

Sending a message to Colonel Bishop. "I am sending a pulse via the transporter to repel none biologic life off the Dashon family evac suits.... It is medical science brought back from deep deep quadrant in our galaxy. If it works, we can treat the family on medical transport. If not, we will need to upgrade this process for the entire DS3 complex."

"Understood Doctor, you are cleared to proceed." Bishop answered, hopeful that the outcome was what they were hoping for.

Watching the reading from Ops, Bishop was the pulse work. He also saw the forcefield take effect and the survivors were beamed onto one of the medical shuttles.

Everyone involved was safe, and Bishop breathed a huge sigh of relief. The aftermath was going to be a horse of a different color, but for now, things could not have gone better for their first major rescue operation.
