Personal log Lieutenant Commander Niali Korial

We appear to be trapped on our moon Mion Nova by a strange and violent sandstorm that contains minute particles of an unknown metal. I have already had to use some of our supply of oxygen. I have also been having trouble again with the Korial symbiont, his mind is so strong and is trying to take over the part of my mind that is my own. I have spoken to our new CMO and asked her to explore my options. I want Korial removed but do not know if that is feasible, however if he is not I think I will eventually go mad.
Some of the crew have discovered artifacts that may associate this culture with Earth’s old Viking culture. We are about to explore a cave that was discovered when the sands below us shifted. I am anxious to explore as sitting in the shuttle is having an effect on my mind, but, there have been anomalies noted that might denote something or someone down there.
