A Couple of Reports

Mission: The Forgotten Outpost
Location: Ops

Alvar entered Ops after checking on several sectors. One of the officers, who was helping temorarily covering the ops station for Alpha Shift after the sudden reassignment of the station's chief of operations, moved over.

"I have a couple of things to run by you, Commander," she said, holding up a padd.

"What have you got, Lieutenant?" Alvar asked.

"First, there are several outstanding applications from private citizens who would like to open up various businesses on the station or who would like to use the station as a formal port of call for their vessels. Normally, it would be the job of the chief of operations to handle either approving or denying the applications, but since we officially don't have one at the moment, we were wondering how to handle them.:

Alvar thought for a moment, then said, "Send them over to me. I'll take care of them until we get a new ops chef. What's the other thing?"

"Well, it's more of an FYI than anything at the moment, but security reports Dr. McQueen was attacked by a wild animal of some sort. They're not sure where the animal came from or how it got onto the station, but they're conducting a search for the animal now, and believe that there shouldn't be too much trouble in tracking it."

"I hope Dr. McQueen was not injured," Alvar said.

"She reportedly did sustain a shoulder injury, though Sickbay has treated it."

"Keep me informed on security's progress in looking for the animal. Anything else?"

"That's it for the moment."

Alvar nodded. "I'll be in my office if I'm needed."
