Location: USS Oberon bridge.
Timeline: Currrent

Finchley stood on the bridge, watching as the crew went about their tasks with due diligence. Taking a deep breath, he touched his COMM badge and said "Commander Kerr to all crew, return to the ship, make ready for ships launch. All department heads report into me when your ready, Kerr out."

He waited for the all clear from the Department Heads, it was time for the Oberon to move out on it's new mission, yet, at the back of his mind, there was a certain foreboding. It wasn't something tangible, nothing he could put his finger on, but never the less, it was there. Perhaps it was the fact that the ship was heading out with a new Command Team in charge and that there had hardly been time for them to gel with the crew properly...he didn't know.

“Chief Counsellor Dr Niali Korial reporting department ready lieutenant Commander. However I am still waiting for some crew to make appointments to see me for their mental evals. Please remind crew this is not optional. Korial out”.

Finchley would remind the crew that it was indeed a requirement. Mental Health was a very important issue, and everyone needed to be on their 'A' game for this mission, and Niali was there to make sure this was done.

Jason was standing coffee pot in one hand, cup in the other, "Intelligence is ready sir."

Ensign JoAnne Grant was at her position at Ops, it was good to be back on duty again. Her alternate radiation treatments had gone well and she was gaining weight, strength and stamina. Her hair was even growing back.

"Operations is five by five, Captain, Operations officer as ready as she will ever be," Jo reported.

Maxx was in the middle of getting a double venti organic, chocolate brownie, caramel Frappuccino, extra hot with one inch of foam, non-fat coffee when he received the call to report in. He almost spilled his hot beverage as his com badge went off. He rolled his eyes up as he knew it was time to go back to work. So he made his way to the bridge and once inside he said, "Chief Science Officer Lieutenant JG Talerian Maxx reporting in sir."

A couple of officers hadn't yet checked in, but Finchley knew it was time to get everyone to the Conference Room so the Captain could begin the mission briefing.

"Ok, listen up everyone" Finchley said "The Captain will brief us all now on our new mission. Make your way to the Conference Room please, and take a seat.
