Opening the new office

Tobias received word that the new Special Agent in Charge for the station had arrived in the docking bay. He stood from his desk, straightened his tunic, and made his way down to greet them.

Krang had also decided that he was going to make his way down, as he wanted to meet this investigator in person.

SSA Timothy Pierce was wearing civilian clothes. He was not a member of Starfleet but he was also a representative of the Federation. In his case he was a member of law enforcement. As a Federal Agent people like Pierce was sometimes called to serve in various places where one never knew what was to happen.

Part of his job was to blend in and this he did. He wore pants, boots, a nice shirt, and a leather jacket. He also conveniently wore on his right hip a standard issue phaser. On his left hip he had extra power packs just in case he needed them. Tucked away behind him was a pair of restraints for when he needed to handcuff someone.

In his right rear pocket was his identification.

He was carrying a bag of clothes in a duffle on his left shoulder. As he approached customs who scanned him realizing he had a weapon he reached into his pocket and pulled out his credentials. At that point Pierce saw two individuals approaching him. "I take it you're the welcoming committee."

"I'm Colonel Bishop, Commander of this station, and this is Lieutenant Darkmoon, Chief of Security." Tobias answered, "It is a pleasure to meet you Special Agent Pierce."

Putting his bag down he extended a hand which the colonel firmly shook. "Likewise. I'm sure my assignment here has caught the both of you by surprise but I assure you we're all on the same team."

Krang's deep voice rumbled as he spoke. "Of this, I have no doubt. I do however question the need for a dedicated team of investigators. My team should be more than capable of taking care of policing the station." he then paused for a moment, "However, since the Federation has seen its way clear to assign you here, I will do all I can to assist when needed."

Pierce replied, "SCIS investigates crimes committed on or by Naval Personnel and their families. Where you lack jurisdiction SCIS has a broad range of it. My assignment and my team that is coming don't plan on stepping on toes but SCIS does on occasion for the right reasons." He took note of Darkmoon eyeing his sidearm. "Before you ask the answer to my removing my weapon is out of the question. SCIS regulations require all SCIS agents to be armed at all times. If you have a problem take it up with Director Syll."

"That is not a problem." Krang answered. "I've considered issue phasers to the security team myself."

Tobias rejoined the conversation at this point.

"While this is all fascinating, I am sure we have have things to get back to, so I will not keep either of you any longer. Welcome to Deep Space Three Agent Pierce, and have a good day." and he turned and departed.
