Standing at the viewport, Ithahr looked down and out at the moored freighter they had brought in. His antennae thrashed in frustration. I should be down there with them, facing the danger, he thought to himself. This is no way to lead. He leaned in to the Captain at his side, 'this should go smoothly, Sir. No dangers were detected.

"I find that when a thing seems to easy, that is usually when the situation quickly goes bad." The Captain responded. He had always had a bit of a dark sense of humor, and he enjoyed putting his conversation partners on the back foot when he got the chance.

Rocking back on his heels slightly, Ithahr allowed himself a small smile, "I suppose that's why you're the Captain and I'm the Executive Officer - clarity of tactical thinking." His antennae undulated good-naturedly. "Hopefully it's quieter than we both fear."

After being dismissed by Ithahr to join the away team, Maxx finished his coffee and sighed as he was worried about a ton of things on his mind. He then made his way to his lab to gather his supplies. Once he arrived he informed his crew of what was going on and for them to be on standby at their posts in case of an emergency. Then he gathered an EVA suit, a mission data pad, a science tricorder, a signal booster, some science tools, a can of sealant and a phaser since he knew first hand of dealing with an enemy in combat from his past lives. Once he was ready he began to suit up before heading out.

JoAnne was busy getting into her environmental suit, it was a two person job at his point, She was fairly small but from a slightly high gravity planet. She had volunteered to EVA out to the front of the moored freighter to hook up umbilical's. It was she who determined they were behind an access panel at the bow of the ship. For whatever reason they couldn't be triggered remotely. Jo was also concerned because there was a considerable about of carbon scoring on the exterior of the freighter. She wondered if the inside of the ship was in as bad of shape as the exterior. Even more strange was that sensors beams couldn't really determine if there were any life signs on board, as if something were scattering the beam.

As Maxx arrived he saw JoAnne working hard.

Well it would be a moot point in about 10 minutes.

After that she was hatted and her environmental systems were activated. She wrapped her tool bag around her carefully securing it for easy access.

"Commander th'Shrannock, radio check, I am ready to go stepping into the air lock now"

Steven hated these suits. They always seemed to make doing the simplest of chores so complicated and tiresome. But it was a necessary must. He checked he had all the equipment Edgeware would need. He slowly followed the others , who were about to enter airlock.

But something about the airlock gave Steven a cold chill. It reminded him of the air lock the Gorn pirates/smugglers used when they landed at Harmony Bay. He shook his head to clear these thoughts. They had already established that this is not a Gorn vessel. Edgeware had to stop thinking of Harmony Bay.

Maxx quickly followed the others to the airlock as he said, "One of these days I am going to add a coffee drinking feature to these suits so I can focus better."

"Heh, heh good idea." Jo replied.

"'Radio check clear, Ensign,' replied Ithahr, more calmly than he felt. 'Proceed with your assignment.'"

"Roger copy Tallyho, proceeding with mission." Grant said.

"Time to get this done, everyone ready, Mister Edgewear, Mr Maxx? Jo asked for confirmation.

"Doctor Steven Edgeware reporting loud and clear." Steven said making a thumbs up gesture.

"As ready as I'll ever be", replied Lieutenant JG Maxx as he gave a thumbs up for confirmation.

Jo sealed the airlock behind them, then opened the outer airlock and licked off she floated to the front of the ship carrying the front of power connection cable while Lt. Edgeware and Lt. Maxx carried the body of it. Using micro vector thrusters on her EVA suit she was able to easily maneuver to where she wanted to go. This suit was built for precision not speed so it took just a little over ten minutes to get into position. She used a magnetic coupler to temporarily place the cable to the ship without it floating off. She then found the access panel flipped it open. Jo tried to activate it but it was dead. No power.

"Lieutenant Edgeware, Just as I thought there is no power, so I am going to use the gravitic spanner to manually release the plating."

Steven nodded. It should not cause any trouble for the cryogenic chambers. They had an alternate power source.

Jo then took out the gravitic spanner and placed it over the manual release bolts. She adjusted the device for a perfect fit and then activated the tool.

The large plate fell away and gave way to an emergency access hatch as well as a universal power coupling jack conduit. Jo attached the power cable to the power coupling. She tightened it down.

"Power cable attached, let it flow start it at 10 percent I will keep an eye out for an variance. Jo said holding up a power trident."

As power was fed into the system the display panel lit up slowly at first then with greater brightness.
