Mission:
Jeepers Creepers!
Location: Shenandoah
Timeline: Current
ON:
Lieutenant Contessa McQueen, sat in the medical transport shuttle, they were about to lift off with injured. She could not help but notice the critical smell if plasma, and conduit wiring burning. The engines whined more like a stall than in flight.
She held down a patient as turbulence hit again. To be on the safe side with the critical patients, she ordered an Emergency beam out directly to Sickbay for her team and patients.
The curtain fell and they were transported to Sickbay. She looked back just as the curtain fell and noted a strange looking thing maybe mechanical, maybe not on the shuttle. She scanned it briefly, then she was back on the Base, and in Sickbay.
She called up the surgical triage teams and they began working on the patients. As they completed the last surgery and sent the last patient to recovery. Contessa could not help but go over all the equipment. She was tired and drained of energy but something in the symbioate's past prompted her to go over the equipment. She made notes and filed her report along with her scans of that strange encounter on the lost Shenandoah, the pilot and crew managed to get to escape pods and return to DS3
She left Sickbay after the last patient was moved from recovery to the regular step down unit for surgical patient's.
She made her way to quarters for a shower and quick change to off duty attire. Then proceeded to take a walk. The Station was still being upgraded, many areas in the promenade still vacant. She made her way to the tea room, no replicated drinks tonight.
She ordered Oolong tea and spiced scones. As she waited for her meal, she looked over the scan again, what if this thing is a parasite from a strang part of the galaxy, and what if it had caused the problems on that medical transport???? She thought as she looked at the tiny creature on scans for a brief moment.... all she had for now were speculations.
She sipped her tea, sampled the scones and winced in pain. She would need a good muscle regeneration procedure in the morning, or she would be totally locked down with muscular spasms. She made an appointment for the therapy with the physical therapist... Continued eating and reading over the days reports..
She was bone weary tired, and decided to forego holosuite practice in archery. As she drank her tea, listened to the lute music in the tea room, she noticed that some of the lights had a intermittent bright dim bright dim series. She made a note and sent the report to maintenance...
She got a hail from the nurse on duty. Updating her on patient status. "All patients stable, resting comfortably."
"Thank you, Della for the update. I am having a late meal, then going to retire for the night. Call me if you need me. McQueen out."
She closed the comms.. Left a tip for her waiter and departed the Tearoom. For her quarters. She pulled a blanket from the closet and settled down on the chaise lounger, soon she drifted into a sleepy stance. She rose and moved to the bedroom. Changing into a pale pink gown she put the days clothing into the recycled and moved to her bed. She had the computer turn the lights out. Pulling the covers up over herself, soon she drifted off to sleep after the muscle relaxer kicked in. It was a all natural muscular relaxant and she would sleep without side effects...
As the hours ticked past. The alarm called out, This is your early morning wakeup call. Doctor, you have an appointment with physical therapy in one hour.
She rose, showered. Donned a fresh uniform. Picked up her consultation coat and polished her boots. Brushed her hair and did her makeup. Had a lite breakfast muffin and coffee. Brushed her teeth. Applied lipstain, and made her way to Sickbay and the PT area.
Soon the therapist had put her in the light therapy unit, and she could feel her muscles regenerate... after the treatment. She made her through the wards checking on patients. Logging in supplies and filling the empty shelves, recalibration the new equipment. Thankfully created with newly discovered materials.
She treated a child for the croop, the young girl was breathing better. She ordered several rounds of Respirstory treatments to help with the croop symptoms and alleviate the swelling and raspy breathing.
After she was satisfied, she left the child to rest in ward.
Then she went to her office.
