Mission: The Forgotten Outpost
Location: Medical Bay - Marine Barracks
Timeline: Current

Cassandra had patched up the boo boos of the first wave of those affected by Yani's outburst. She was worried about her friend but buried it for now as she saw to the injured. She worked systematically. Thankfully the worst of it so far was just a few broken fingers, a couple concussions and a twisted knee that she had mended with relative ease. There where only a few left when she saw the XO come in.

"Hey grab that bed that just opened up and Ill get you out of here in two shakes please." She said as she ran the bone knitter over her current patients middle finger one last time. Then she put a temporary brace on it and sent him like the others up to main medical.

C'Rell sat on the indicated biobed. "Take care of them first Lieutenant, I can wait, besides, it gives me a chance to calm down." He told Cassandra.

Cassandra nodded and once the current patient was finished she went to the replicator and got a rather large mug of warm catnip tea. She remembered it worked to help Zymbus calm down back in the day so it couldn't hurt. Cassi had already heard what had happened so far from several different view points. So she felt silly asking him. "So what seems to be the problem? You look just fine big fella. Don't tell me Yani took a swing at you as well now." She offered him the nearly comical sized mug of tea. It looked perfect for some one of his size though thank goodness.

C'Rell took the mug and sniffed it, his nose crinkled a sec at the first scent of the mellow tea. "What is this? Tea?" His ears went back as he narrowed his eyes. "You are aware that Kzinti do not consume plants." He asked, hit tail flicking.

"Its catnip tea. It will help you relax. If your good we can go get a steak later." She replied as she pulled out her medscanner and started to run it over him as she walked around him.

C'Rell sniffed the liquid again. He wanted to be offended at being offered something made of plants but something in the scent drew him. It was like it called to him. He dipped a finger into the warm liquid and let his fur absorb some. He raised the finger and placed it in his mouth, sucking it from his furred fingertip. "Mmmm."

Cassi simply smiled but said nothing as she read the read outs. "She tried to strangle you I see." Cassi stopped looked at the giant tiger again, a glance really and then shook her head. "Just a little bruising you got off lucky. But then I am hardly surprised seeing as Kzinti males are tough as nails." she went over to see what she had that might help him with the slight swelling and bruising.

By the time Cassi returned, the tea was gone and the cup was sitting on the biobed behind him. He had a smile on his face as his tail weaved lazily, threatening to knock the cup onto the floor. "Hey Lieutenant, can I see what this catnip looks like? I can't believe something like that came from a plant." He asked, his eyes wrinkled with the effects of the catnip. A small vibration started in his chest but it was at a different frequency so it wasn't a growl but something that he didn't do, he was purring and completely calm.

Cassi tilted her head and smiled at the soothing sound. "Hmmm I see it helped. Of course I can brink you your own little living breathing catnip plant for your office desk." She remarked with a sweet almost charming tone. Rescuing the cup she moved it to a more secure spot before coming back to him. "May I feel around the area? I want to just make sure I didn't miss anything with the scanner?"

C'Rell nodded slowly, the sound continued as he felt his body relaxing more than it has ever been before.

"No biting now." Cassi joked as she reached up and using her fingers she reached up into the thick fur and let her fingers gently move over the swollen areas and making mental notes in her head to the scanners read outs. Yeah. Everything checked out. It was hard to ignore the tingling sensation his purring sent through her hands and outstretched body. She took a couple steps back as she brought her hands down. "Yup all in one piece. May I say you have some very soft body hair. you obviously take very good care of yourself. I see no reason why I cant give you a green light to return to duty when you feel ready. I am going to prescribe you some of that tea, It should help sooth and relax your throat. A little honey added to it wouldn't hurt either." Cassi suggested.

C'Rell wrinkled his nose at the mention of honey. "I think I shall drink this plain." He purred, her hands on his neck had elicited the vibrations to intensify. "I knew I was fine. It'll take a larger K'rethag to take me out. She's just was lucky I wasn't there to fight." He said, the intended threat was lost due to the purring.

"Your just lucky she wasn't armed." Cassi said. "How are you feeling?"

"Feel great but at the beginning, she was armed with a chair. She hit my arm but it's fine. Just numbed it for a bit. Already got the feeling back." C'Rell said with a grin.

"Alright, do you feel ready to return to duty then or would you like a few hours to rest up?" Cassi asked. "A little sleep never killed any one and it promotes natural healing. And just so you know I don't go giving em out to just anyone." She finished with a wink. Her hand had gone to his afflicted arm and was running her fingers through the fur to the skin below.

C'Rell smiled. "I would accept but the Major wants to have a... Talk with me after I leave here." His purring had started to subside. "Am I fit for duty or am I gonna die?" He said with a humored grin.

She smiled and asked him, "Which one do you want?"

C'Rell let out a laugh. He hadn't been this relaxed since before he had been taken by the Orion slavers all those years ago. "I hope I'm fit for duty." He chuckled and stretched. The corded muscles rippled under the fur, skin and uniform.

"Wish granted. Go on then and have fun. Send any stragglers my way. I know you all wanna be tough. I frankly tough or not your no good to us if your injured so keep it in mind Tiger." Cassi said with a wink she cleared him for active duty and headed off to check if anyone else might have wandered in.

C'Rell smiled as he stood up. "Thanks Lieutenant, I feel better. I'll see you in the morning for PT." He called behind him as he slipped through the door.
