Mission:
The Forgotten Outpost
Location: Marine Barracks
Timeline: Current
The scream echoed off the bulkhead like a banshee's wail followed by even more crashing and banging. Del flew into the galley which seemed to be central to the commotion. He knew those screams 'Goddess damn it, damn it all to hell.' They turned the last corner and was greeted by anther gut retching screech, "Your not my team!! Your not!! Your a liar!! A LIAR!!" as one of the long tables was flung with enough force to drop the three marines that had been trying to subdue the assailant.
"Everybody stand down that's an order!" Del yelled his voice booming loudly over the commotion. Everybody in the room froze even Yani who stood whimpering her face contorted in a familiar fear that stabbed at the Majors heart. "Blake.. Yanna Blake..." He said his voice soft now, calm. He sent that calm to her with his voice where she stood shaking her eyes dilatated staring at him as if he was something from a dark dream.
"Oh Captain.." Yanna sobbed dropping the chair she had picked up to wield against her next unfortunate foe. "Captain, they are imposters.. Please.. you have to see.. there faces... the faces are different they talk different … they are imposters they are not our team.." Her voice was trembling sweat pour from her and her body was bond up tight ready to strike at the simplest provocation.
C'Rell stood there taking in the scene. "EVERYONE OUT! Take the wounded to Matthews for treatment." The large felinoid growled as he stalked forward with purpose. "First Lieutenant, you will stand down now."
Del let out a hissing breath as he watched the large tiger like creature stide past. "So we have chosen death." He said softly to himself as he moved forward and to the side so Yani could see him clearly.
She had picked the chair up as the men began to move around her again. But finding none to be attacking her she instead turned her hyper focus on the giant cat that was belowing at her.
She baried her teeth at him. The face was wrong!!!! The face!! It was Wrong!!! "You mother fucker!" She screamed in rage. They had gotten Zymbus! The imposters had gotten to the XO!! She gave an enraged battle cry of, "You will not get my Captian DIE!" and the chair swung out with all the honor of a Bat'LetH.
C'Rell, who trained to fight his whole life and with the Genetically enhance musculature, threw his arm out to block the chair. It hit hard and actually made it go numb from the elbow down. He let out a growl but retrained his impulses to reach out and swipe her aside. "First Lieutenant Blake, you will stand down and place the chair on the deck! That is an order!" He had stopped just at the edge of her immediate reach with the chair. His response was the chair to the face. Or almost it halted in mid air a few inches away and then went flying Just as C'Rell felt all one hundred and twenty six pounds of Yani hit him in the chest to knock him backwards her body seemed to contort around him like a snake almost and before he knew what was happening her legs had slid over his shoulders and tightened painfully nearly cutting off his air and rendering him incapable of biting her as her hips clenched against his throat as they hit the ground. Fists came out swinging but the blows didnt land as the Major took advantage of her distraction to grab her and was even now trying to pry her off the fallen executive officer.
C'Rell, surprised at her speed, was taken off guard. By the time he'd gotten his arms up to deflect the chair, it was already gone and she was on him like a K'Rith vine plant. Her legs wrapped around his neck before he could react. He grabbed her ankles and tried to pry them apart. He could try biting her or clawing her but he didn't want to injure her.
"KAI!!!! Goddess damn you your never around when I need you!" He bellowed as he struggled with the girl. Then Kai was there helping to try and pry her legs off the tigerman.
"Yani Yani stop!! Let him go. He is Not Zymbus your right.. this is C'Rell." He felt her body relax a little. Good she was listening. He got a better hold on her. He closed his mind reaching out to hers. It was like a snow globe to his minds eye. mixed up pieces of fog drifting around. Confusion, and chaos, fear. bits or stray memory playing like a broken record. "Hush now.... hush let him go.. Please Yani for goddess sake let him go." Her body went slack, she stopped struggling as he very gently eased her troubled mind. settled the fear, sorted the confusion, eased her pain. "Shhhhhh now.. Shhhh. We should go call Thomas. yes?"
C'Rell clambered to his feet the second he was free and spun to face Yanni. A deep menacing growl rumbled through his chest as he bared his teeth in a snarl. His hands at his side flexed, causing his claws to extend and retract over and over. "What is her major malfunction?!" He snarled.
Del glanced at his XO. He understood the fury in those eyes. What a way to meet the new detachment. Well one brush fire at a time. He said in a firm and even tone. "Ill explain it to you as soon as I am done here. In the mean time go have Cassandra look you over and then report back to my office directly. We have many things to discuss." Then he looked out at the broken room. the chaos that was once his orderly galley. It wasn,t her fault. No. But he'd have to deal with this. It was dangerous. He had hoped she was doing better but had known that with out Thomas here to help she was likely to come apart again. He sighed heavily.
C'Rell nodded and stalked out, tossing a table aside with ease in his anger. He had been dismissed by the CO and then ordered to his office like some recruit or cub. Many of the Marines could feel the anger coming from him as he moved down the corridor and moved aside quickly to let the large cat pass by.
